The Federal Inland Revenue Service FIRS, has expressed readiness to support the Niger State government in its efforts to revitalise the economy through Agriculture.
The Executive Chairman of FIRS, Zacch Adedeji
stated this while speaking to newsmen shortly after a closed door meeting with the Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago at his office in Abuja.
He described the Governor as one of the pillars of the economy based on his Agricultural initiatives aimed at ensuring food security and bringing about industrial revolution.
The FIRS appreciated the Governor for the visit, saying they have been good friends for a long time.
Also speaking, the Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago explained that is visit was to congratulate his long time good friend on his appointment as the FIRS Chairman.
He said he used the opportunity to compare notes on the economy and to discuss ways of having a tax holiday for farmers to boost food production in the country.
