The Forum of the State and the National Parliamentarians from Niger State comprising the 1st to 10th Assembly,have passed a vote of confidence on farmer Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago and unanimously endorsed him for a second term in Office based on his visionary and inclusive governance.
The endorsement was done when members of the Forum visited the farmer Governor at the Government House, Minna.
The motion for the endorsement was moved by the former lawmaker of Rijau/Magma Federal Constituency Umar Ahmed, while former Speaker, Niger State House of Assembly, Ahmed Marafa Guni seconded the motion.
Leader of the delegation and former Member of Lapai Federal Constituency, Ibrahim Ebbo, explained that their visit was to identify with the farmer Governor for all his developmental strides in the State, which he said the forum is proud of.
Also, the Speaker, Niger State House of Assembly, Barr. Abdulmalik Sarkin Daji who was represented by the member representing Tafa Constituency, Muhammad Sani Idris said the administration of Governor Umaru Bago has brought significant improvement in the State across all sectors of the economy hence, deserved to continue with the laudable initiatives he has started.
Responding, Governor Umaru Bago who described the legislative arm of government as an integral part of democracy that contribute to building a better society, appreciated the lawmakers for coming together as one regardless of party differences, stressing that it means a lot to him.
While thanking the Forum for the endorsement and conferment, the farmer Governor also encouraged the Forum’s leadership to have a robust system, as his administration will engage some of them to contribute their quota, especially in the Ward development projects and other developmental services for the State
The Grand Patron of the Forum was also conferred on the farmer Governor.
