Kebbi State Public Analysts Forum has organised a special prayer in honour of President Ahmed Bola Tinubu and Governor of Kebbi State, Comrade Dr Nasir Idris (Kaura Gwandu) lead administrations.
The prayer, which took place on Thursday shortly after iftar at Central Mosque, Birnin kebbi was attended by Alhaji Umar Buro Idris, the younger brother to Kebbi State governor and some prominent politicians.
The prayer, led by the Chief Imam of central mosque, Mallam Imam Muktar Abubakar described prayer as a path to ensuring peace and happiness in the society and Nigeria at large.
“As good citizens of the state and the country at large, we have nothing to offer to our leaders than to pray for them to succeed.
“I really appreciate the organisers of this Iftar, this is the right time to pray for our country and the state in particular,” he said.
The chief Imam also emphasised the need for Muslim to exhibit the spirit of tolerance, embrace peace, and love for one another.
He enjoined Muslim to always adhere to the teaching of the Holy Qur’an in all they do to be able to live a meaningful and peaceful life.
In his speech and prayer, Alhaji Umar Buro Idris appreciated the efforts of the organisers, while encouraging the people to use this month of Ramada to pray for leaders at all levels.
“If God chooses a leader for you, it has become mandatory on you to follow him and pray for him to succeed because his success is your success and his failure is the failure of all,” he said.
Also speaking, the Chief Press Secretary to Kebbi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Idris thanked the leaders of the organisation and commended them for shower of prayers.
He observed that prayer remained the last option to fishing out bad eggs in the society.
“We actually need to offer prayers for our leaders and appreciate their good work. Our Governor, Comrade Dr Nasir Idris has done a lot for us and we need to support him with prayer for him to overcome the challenges bevelling the state,” he advised.
In his remark, the chairman of the forum, Abubakar ABK commended the effort of Kebbi State Governor and the President Ahmed Bola Tinubu for their leadership style, adding that the best way to reciprocate was by offering prayer for them to succeed.
The prayer was organised by the following committee members: Zaidu Bala, Usman Anache, Babangida Pele, Dr Ibrahim Jikan Dede and Chief Press Secretary (CPS) to the Governor, Ahmed Idris.
