The Kebbi State Governor, Comrade Dr Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu has applauded the security agencies for their gallant efforts in combating crimes and criminalities across the state.
He gave the commendation on Tuesday while briefing Journalists shortly after the state security meeting held at Government House chamber in Birnin Kebbi.
“We are happy with the way and manner the security agencies are handling security issues across the state, their tireless efforts have no doubt resulted in reduced criminal activities.
“The present administration under my watch will continue to support the security agencies to enable them discharge their constitutional responsibility diligently. Our desire is to make Kebbi a crime free state,” he said.
While acknowledging the contributions of the security personnel in maintaining peace and order, the governor noted that the security challenges bedeviling Kebbi South and some parts of Kebbi North had been brought under control.
It could be recalled that Gov. Idris had purchased many patrol vehicles and distributed same to security agencies operating in the state to boost their morale and to ease their logistical challenges.
