The Kebbi State Governor, Comrade Dr Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu, has condoled with his counterpart of Katsina state, Dr Dikko Umar Radda, over the death of his mother, Hajiya Sarafa’u Umaru, who passed away at the age of 93.
Condoling Dr Radda in Katsina on Tuesday, Gov. Idris urged his counterpart to accept the will of God Almighty in good faith.
He said: “What happened to us is not a small thing but as Muslim we must accept the will of God Almighty in good faith.
“We pray to Almighty Allah to forgive her shortcomings and grant her Jannatul Firdaus.”
He observed that it was a thing of joy for a person to end up well with his/her parents.
“I deliberately refused to condole with you in Makkah, because of my relationship with you, I felt it’s imperative for me to personally visit you and condole with you.
“We pray God Almighty to accept all her good deeds, bless what she left behind and may He reward you abundantly for taking very good care of her,” he noted.
Responding on behalf of the Governor, the Deputy Governor, Hon. Faruk Lawal Jobe, appreciated the Kebbi State Governor, His Excellency, Comrade Dr Nasir Idris for the condolence visit.
He extolled the long standing cordial relationship between Katsina and Kebbi States and stressed the need for sustaining such relationship for the good of both states.
