The Kebbi State Governor, Comrade Dr Nasir idris, Kauran Gwandu has flagged-off the construction of N518 million feeder road from Hundeji junction to Hundeji town in Shanga Local Government Area under the Rural Asses and Agricultural Marketing Projects (RAAMP).
Speaking at the occasion, the governor said his administration would continue to improve the welfare of its people by providing social amenities to the citizenry.
He said the present administration in the state had done a lot for the people in the areas of education, health care delivery, water supply, agriculture, rural development as well as youth and women empowerment among others.
Gov. idris assured the Emir of Yauri of more developmental projects in Yauri Emirate, assuring that all the requests of the emir would be looked into with a view to proffering lasting solution to them.
In his speech, the Emir of Yauri, Dr Muhammad Zayyanu-Abdullahi, appreciated the governor for executing many developmental projects in his domain and appealed for the extension of the projects to neighboring communities.
The Emir assured the governor of total support and cooperation of the emirate and its people to facilitate rapid growth and development across the state.
Earlier, the State Coordinator of RAAMP, Engr. Idris Adamu said the road, 6.55 kilometers, was awarded to Ribalka Nig. Limited at the cost of over N518 million with 12 months duration.
The coordinator commended the governor for the support and assistance being rendered to RAAMP for effective performance.
