Over one million youths from different foundations in Kebbi State have organised a solidarity walk in support of second term bid of Comrade Dr Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu to remain in Kebbi State Government House come 2027.
This is in view of the achievements recorded within two years of his administration.
Receiving the youths, women and other unions in a mammoth crowd on Wednesday, the Kebbi State Governor, Comrade Dr Nasir Idris appreciated the organisers of the movement.
He assured the readiness of his administration to extend helping hands to organisations across the state.
“I am the most happiest person of this moment because of the crowd I saw today, I thank you people for publicising your intent, showing love to me and my administration, In Sha Allah, I will never disappoint you people.
“My government will support everyone by ensuring the dividends of democracy reach every nooks cranies of the state,” he assured.
Earlier, the convener of the rally and Special Adviser to the Governor on Political Affairs Alhaji Kabir Sani-Giant said the aim of organising the one million youths match was to show support and love to Kebbi State Governor.
“The mammoth crowd you are seeing today are all your supporters, I am assuring you that we will stand by you during the 2027 general elections.
“The people of Kebbi State have finally endorsed you for another term of four years and In Sha Allah, you will retain your position in Government House, Birnin Kebbi, because there is no opposition today in the state,” he said.
In his remarks, the Hon. Commissioner for Works, Hon. Umar Farouk Muslim said the essence of the gathering was to confirm to the governor the level of love and commitment Kebbi people have for him.
“I want to assure His Excellency that you don’t have any problem come 2027, this is because you have done a lot to the people of Kebbi State.
“Within this short period of time, you have constructed roads, healthcare centres, schools and empowerment across the state,” he noted.
