Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago was among hundreds of sympathisers from within and outside the State that attended the funeral for late Hajiya Zainab Garba, Wife to the Deputy Governor, Com.Yakubu Garba.
The funeral, which was held at the Palace of the Emir of Minna, Alh. Umar Faruk Bahago was led by the Deputy Chief Imam of Minna, Malam Jibril Imam.
While at the palace, Governor Umaru Bago condoled with the Emir over the loss and prayed to Allah to forgive the shortcomings of the deceased and grant her entry into Aljannat Firdaus.
A special prayer session was conducted by the Deputy Chief Imam Sheikh Isah Jibrin Imam
The Governor thereafter joined other sympathisers at the Muslim cemetery in Ungwan Daji, where the remains of the deceased were laid to rest amidst prayers.
Other notable individuals at the funeral were the Federal Legislators representing the State at the National Assembly, Speaker Niger State House of Assembly, AbdulMalik Sarkin Daji, Secretary to the State Government, Alh. Abubakar Usman, APC National Vice Chairman North Central, Mu’azu Bawa Rijau, members of the State House of Assembly, State Executive Council members and APC Party loyalists among others.
