Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago, extends his felicitation to a great philanthropist and an elder statesman, Major, General, Gado Nasko (Rtd), Wambai of Kontagora on his 84th birthday.
In a birthday message by his Chief Press Secretary, Bologi Ibrahim, the governor, applauds the celebrant for his selflessness and deep compassion towards humanity, especially the less privileged.
He acknowledges the zeal and commitment demonstrated by Major General, Nasko in nation-building during his active service years in the military.
The governor notes that the celebrant recorded milestone achievements across many sectors in the old Sokoto State when he was the Military Administrator from 1978 to 1979.
He also recalls that General, Nasko brought in many Innovations that led to drastic development in many spheres of the nation when he served as a Minister of Trade; Agriculture, Water Resources and Rural Development; and Federal Capital Territory Abuja, at different times, all under the then Military President, General, Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida.
The Governor says the State is indeed proud of the celebrant, especially as he has continued to serve humanity even after active service.
He appreciates Allah for allowing Major General, Nasko to attain such a remarkable age and prays for continuous sound health, strength, and wisdom to sustain his humanitarian services.
