Niger State Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago congratulates the 20th Sultan of Sokoto and President General, Nigeria Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar, on his 69th birthday on the 24th of August, 2025.
In a congratulatory message through his Chief Press Secretary, Bologi Ibrahim, the governor describes the Sultan of Sokoto as a humble, diligent, and iconic leader who has over the years served as a model to many, especially the Muslim Ummah.
He also acknowledges the unrelenting efforts of the Islamic leader in the propagation of Islam, upholding its tenets as well as ensuring a peaceful co-existence among other religions in the country.
Governor Umaru Bago maintains that the contributions of the celebrant to nation-building and religious harmony are great and commendable.
He enjoins other Muslim leaders and the entire Muslim Ummah to emulate the selflessness and humility of the Sultan and sustain their support for him to succeed in his leadership.
While praying for more blessed years for the celebrant, the farmer governor wishes him continuous good health, wisdom, and Allah’s guidance.
