Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago has congratulated the President of African Development Bank Dr. Akinwumi Adeshina as he celebrated his 65th birthday.
Governor Umaru Bago was among many dignitaries that attended the grand reception held in Abidjan Cote d’Ivoire in honour of the former Minister of Agric and Rural Development.
The Governor described Dr. Adeshina as a major driver in Africa’s development in the Agricultural sector adding that the transformative drive he has embarked upon has been instrumental to the growth and development of Africa.
He said, the efforts of the ADB President has put Nigeria and Africa as a whole on the path of sustainable growth and restated Niger State Government’s continued partnership with the African Development Bank to consolidate on the agricultural revolution of the Farmer Governor.
Other notable guests that graced the occasion include Nigeria’s former Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, serving Governors from Nigeria, and People from all Walks of Life.
In 2015, Dr. Adeshina became the first Nigerian to be elected as the President of the African Development Bank.
