He stated this while addressing journalists shortly after the valedictory State Executive Council meeting at the Government House, Minna.
According to the Governor, the decision became necessary because while some appointees had exceeded the Key Performance Indicators (KPI) of the administration, a few others did not.
He explained that it was also discovered that some officials have greater strengths in other areas, making it necessary to rejig the cabinet to drive the desired growth and development in line with the mission and vision of the New Niger Agenda.
Governor Bago added that some former members would be reappointed, while others would be given new portfolios to continue serving the state.
He expressed appreciation to the cabinet members for their contributions, noting that they collectively played an important role in the progress recorded so far.
Earlier, the Governor had dissolved his cabinet, retaining the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Chief of Staff, Deputy Chief of Staff, and other principal officers.
