Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago has expressed satisfaction with the contractor that handled the 5km township road in Lemu, Gbako local government area of the State.
The farmer Governor stated this when he inspected the completed 5km township road project in Lemu where he rounded up the Niger North and South Senatorial Districts projects monitoring tour.
He described the road as the best so far, based on the quality and speed, hence, another 5km road project in Gbako Local Government Area was given to the contractor.
The Governor said the contractor stands to get more contracts in the State, considering the way and manner he handled the Lemu project.
He then directed the Member representing Bida/Katcha/Gbako Federal Constituency Saidu Musa Abdullahi to provide solar-powered streetlights on the road within one week.
The Governor who reassured the people of his administration’s resolve to address their other basic needs such as healthcare, water, power, and education adding that plans are on to embark on massive renovations and construction of basic facilities.
Speaking on the tour generally,farmer Governor Umaru Bago said the tour has provided him the opportunity to interact with the people at the grassroots and to give them a sense of belonging.
The Member representing Bida/Gbako/ Katcha Federal Constituency Saidu Musa Abdullahi, Chairman Gbako Local Government Council, Hassan Muhammad, Commissioner for Tertiary Education, Abdullahi Adamu Mammagi and the District Head of Lemu, Muhammad Bello in their separate remarks applauded the Farmer Governor for his efforts in transforming the lives of the citizenry.
Other areas earlier visited by the farmer Governor were Edozhigi and Sheshi Mandikko Communities where he interacted with the community members and assured them of more dividends of democracy.
