Niger State Governor, farmer Mohammed Umaru Bago has paid a private visit to a private farm, CSS Global integrated farms situated along Abuja-Keffi expressway, Nasarawa State.
The visit of Governor Umaru Bago signifies a proactive approach to promoting the state agricultural sector
The visit by the Governor is to fashion out ways on how the Niger State Government will work together with the private farm to boost agricultural production in the State.
Governor Umaru Bago who expressed delight with the facilities and massive potentials of the private farm disclosed that the State Government will send a team to the farm as soon as possible to foster collaboration between the government and private enterprises which can lead to innovative solutions and improved productivity in agriculture
Governor Umaru Bago and his entourage were taken round the Farm by the Founder, CSS Farms, Prof. John Kennedy Opara who showed them many components of the farm.
CSS Global Integrated farms deals in Greenhouse technology, irrigation farming, organic composting, poultry, fishery, farm mechanisation as well as being producers of wide range of locally packaged products.
The initiative of the Umaru Bago to pay a private visit to the farm could help in several ways including knowledge sharing,networking opportunities and promotion of sustainable practices.
