Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago has paid a condolence visit to former Nigerian military president, Gen. Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida (Rtd), following the passing of his friend, Alhaji Muhammadu Tako, Katukan Nupe.
During the visit to the Hilltop residence of the elder statesman, Governor Bago commiserated with Gen. Babangida, urging him to take solace in Allah and in the fact that the deceased lived a good and impactful life.
The Governor also visited the family residence of the late Katukan Nupe, where he extended his condolences and encouraged them to be inspired by the legacies of their patriarch.
Special prayers were offered at both residences for the repose of the soul of the late Alh. Muhammadu Tako and for Allah’s comfort upon all who are bereaved.
Governor Bago was accompanied by the Secretary to the State Government, Alh. Abubakar Usman; Chief of Staff, Alh. Abdullahi Usman Gbatamangi; Deputy Chief of Staff, Sadiq Yusuf; other top government officials, former Commissioners, and Special Advisers.
