Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago, has performed the groundbreaking of a 40-km Mararaban Dandaudu-Gwada-Kuta-Rafinkuka-Zumba single carriageway.
The groundbreaking ceremony was performed at the Mararaban Dandaudu under Munya local government area.
The road project spans across Munya and Shiroro local government areas.
The governor, who expressed delight with the project, noted that it would not only ease movements but would also reduce travel time for the people of the two council areas.
He reiterated his administration’s determination to the rapid development of the state under the New Niger agenda.
The governor disclosed that the road project will be executed by the same contractor that handled the 5 km township road of Munya local government area.
The Deputy Governor, Comrade Yakubu Garba, Senator representing Niger State Senatorial District, Sen. Mohammed Sani Musa, the Emir of Minna Alh. Umaru Faruk Bahago and other top government officials were among the dignitaries present at the groundbreaking ceremony.
