Niger State Governor, farmer Mohammed Umaru Bago has re affirmed that his administration will continue to give women the opportunity to be part of governance.
He disclosed this when he received members of Wushishi Women Progressives Forum who paid him a courtesy visit at the Government House Minna.
Governor Bago described women as hardworking and highly disciplined, adding that women were instrumental to his emergence as Governor and emphasized that he will continue to carry them along in governance.
The Governor said the promise he made to give all Vice Chairperson positions in all the 25 Local Government Areas to women still stands and stressed that, more positions will be given to them.
He also assured women that he will continue to introduce various women empowerment projects that will enable them contribute to nation building.
The Chairperson, Wushishi Women Progressives Forum, Asma’u Gambo said they were at the Government House to show appreciation and acknowledge the giant strides recorded by the Governor.
She described his achievements in agriculture, health, and infrastructure as unprecedented and has placed him in the record books of history.
Asma’u said, all the projects he brought to Wushishi have tremendously helped in transforming the lives of the people especially women whom he sad has supported through various means.
The Chairperson reassured the farmer Governor of continued support to all his people oriented policies and programmes that are all geared towards helping people better their lives.
