Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to supporting security agencies and other federal establishments operating within the state.
The governor gave the assurance when he received heads of some security agencies and a federal establishment coordinator recently posted to the state.
Those on the courtesy visit included the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), and the Niger State Coordinator of the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC).
Governor Bago emphasized the need for a strong working relationship between the state government and federal institutions to ensure improved security and better services for the people.
“My administration is committed to making your work easier and more effective. We urge you to also embrace a culture of proper maintenance as we continue to provide support in ensuring smooth operations,” he stated
In separate remarks, the Zonal Coordinator, NIS Zone D, ACG Anthony Emeka Chikezie, the Niger State Comptroller of Immigration, Gado Ibrahim, the NSCDC State Commandant, Suberu Siyaka Aniviye, the FRSC State Sector Commander, Aishat Sa’ad, and the NIMC State Coordinator, Aisha Yahaya Muhammad, commended Governor Bago for his developmental strides across various sectors.
They noted that his support has repositioned Niger State on the path of growth and pledged their unflinching cooperation with his administration.
The visiting officials also appealed for further logistical support to aid their operations in the state.
