Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago was the father of the Brides, Zainab and Hamida, daughters of the Lawmaker representing Niger East Senatorial District, Sen. Muhammad Sani Musa who got married.
The Wedding Fatiha conducted at the Minna Central Mosque was presided over by the Chief Imam of Minna, Mal. Isah Jibril.
He pronounced Zainab Idris and Hassan Umar married after pronouncement of N250,000 as bride price while Hamida Akinsuyi and Koyum Kolade were equally declared married after payment of N250,000 as bride price.
Governor Umaru Bago who congratulated both couples for opening a new chapter in their lives encouraged them to live in accordance with the teachings of Islam.
He implored them to be patient with each other and ensure that they do not allow any third party come in between their marriages even as he prayed to Allah to bless and guide the newly wedded couples.
Prominent guests that attended the wedding fatiha are Nigeria’s former Head of State, Gen. Abdulsalami Abubakar, Senator Representing Niger East Senatorial District Sen. Muhammad Sani Musa, Emir of Minna, Umar Faruk Bahago, Senator Adamu Aleiro and Maj. Hamza Al- Mustapha rtd amongst others.
Governor Umaru Bago then led some of the guests to the Palace of the Emir of Minna, Umar Faruk Bahago and the Uphill residence of Former Nigeria Military President, Gen. Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida for their Blessings.
