Niger State Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago has said he will pay the Parents Teachers Association (PTA) fees of all the Children in Public schools in the State.
The Governor stated this when he engaged with stakeholders in Sarkin Pawa, headquarters of Munya local government area.
He explained that the decision was to encourage parents to enroll their children in school to acquire education, which he said is key to many successes in life.
The Governor also disclosed that the State government will provide free School Uniforms for all the Children in Public schools in the State.
He warned that no child should be sent home because of PTA fee or school uniform, adding that with or without school uniforms, the children should be allowed to be educated.
The Governor emphasized the need for parents to take the education of their children seriously rather than allowing them to engage in mining activities.
He then promised to fence all public schools in Munya under the Safe School initiative and provide more dividends of democracy to the people.
