Senator Representing Kogi West, at the National Assembly Senator, Smart Adeyemi has issued a serious warning to individuals, group of people making any statements, publication, castigating any official in elected position in Kogi to desist from such act or face the full wrath of the law.
Senator Smart Adeyemi gave the warning in a press statement personally issued to journalists in Abuja.
He said those criticizing the leaders from Kogi State are doing so without his interest, knowledge, authorization,or consent, hence should allowed peace to reign for the progress of the state.
“The elections activities has come and gone, I see no reason for any castigation, or struggling against anybody, political supporters should shun frivolous activities and do away with statements that can cause any trouble or instigative political crisis in the state” Senator Adeyemi said.
The lawmaker further explained that anyone who has genuine concerns about the well being of the people of Kogi, should responsibly speak about their grievances in thier personal capacity without using any of his social media handles.
Senator Smart Adeyemi maintained that those using his identity as a cover to peddle unnecessary allegations against the current administration in the state should cease from doing so, stressing that anyone found guilty will be prosecuted.
He said it would be delusional for any well meaning statesman in Kogi state to accuse himself of sponsoring those criticizing the administration of the present governor in the state.
Senator Smart Adeyemi further noted that campaign and elections are over hence there is need for the stakeholders, groups or individuals to set aside their Differences and work for the interest of the people in order to engender meaningful progress in Kogi state.
He advised those representing the good people of Kogi at the state and national level not to be deterred by the criticisms instead they should focus on delivering their Campaign promises to the people in the state.
Senator Smart Adeyemi reminds his supporters and those politically aggrieved in Kogi state that politics is dynamic and unpredictable, as such they should only depend on Almighty God, and focused and be hopeful on the twenty-twenty-seven general election.
