Etsu Nupe, Alhaji, Yahaya Abubakar has urged political leaders to embark on projects that will have direct bearing on their immediate job communities and constituency at large.
The Etsu Nupe made the remark at the commissioning of health facilities, Islamiyya school, water projects and Jummat Mosque in Malagi, finance by the minister of information and National orientation.
The event, which took place in Malagi drew dignitaries from across the state, including the Governor of Niger State, Muhammed Bago who commended the Minister’s efforts in promoting education and community development.
Also in attendance were heads of agencies under the Ministry of Information and National Orientation, who appraised the initiative, adding that it is a shining example of giving back to the community, in order to drive socio-economic growth.
The mosque, Islamiya school, and water projects are expected to significantly improve the lives of the Malagi community, providing a conducive environment for worship, learning, and access to clean water.
In his remarks, the Minister emphasized the importance of collaboration and partnership in education and community development.
He reiterated that when leaders work together in driving community development, they can easily add to national growth, stressing that the project was a testament to his desire to give back to the place of his birth and support the government’s commitment to the welfare of its citizens.
The Governor of Niger State also expressed his appreciation for the project, noting that it would go a long way in promoting peace, stability, and economic growth in the region.
The event was concluded with a tour to the facilities, prayers, and a reception for the dignitaries and community leaders.
