The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), Niger State Chapter, rejoices with the Muslim Ummah across the state, Nigeria, and the world on the occasion of Eid al-Adha, a festival that symbolizes sacrifice, obedience, compassion, and devotion.
As Muslim faithful commemorate the noble act of Prophet Ibrahim (AS), who demonstrated unshakable faith in Allah, NAWOJ Niger called on all to reflect on the values of unity, tolerance, empathy, and selflessness which Eid al-Adha inspires.
According to a statement signed by Chairperson, Caretaker Committee Niger State Chapter Comrade Asabe Garba and Secretary, Caretaker Committee, Comrade Maimuna Raji Egigogo NAWOJ urged women, especially those in the media space, to use their platforms to promote messages of peace, ethical journalism, and social harmony.
The association also extended its warm wishes to the Niger State Government, traditional institutions, and all stakeholders working towards a safer and more prosperous state.
NAWOJ urged that the less privileged be remembered through acts of kindness and charity, which are at the heart of this celebration.
