Deputy Governor of Niger State, Farmer Comrade Yakubu Garba has congratulated the newly elected officials of the correspondent Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalist NUJ which had the emergence of Mustapha Yakubu Bina as the Chairman for the second term.
In a congratulatory message signed by his Press Secretary, Ummikhaltume Abdullahi Kuta, the Deputy Governor described the re-election of Yakubu Bina as well deserved.
With the commitment, selflessness and leadership qualities of Mustapha Yakubu is worthy for him to be re-elected for a second tenure. Famer Comrade said.
He called on other elected officials of the Chapel to work for the unity and progress of the Chapel and propagate the New Niger Agenda of Farmer Umaru Mohammed Bago led administration and also strengthen the cordial relationship that has been existing between the Chapel and the Government since its inception on may 29th 2023.
The Correspondents Chapel of the NUJ, Niger State Council held its election, and Mustapha Yakubu Bina of the People’s Daily Newspaper and other executives emerged unopposed.
Other executives of the Chapel are Nura Mohammed of the Voice of Nigeria (VON), as vice Chairman; Dan Atori of the New Telegraph Newspaper as Secretary; Abubakar Akote of Daily Trust Newspaper as the Assistant Secretary; Pricilla Dennis of Daily Post Newspaper as the Treasurer; Rita Iliya of News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), as the Financial Secretary while Mustapha Nasiru Batsari of the Voice of America (VOA) will serve as the Auditor.
