Niger State Government has reiterated commitment to providing Primary Health care for communities across the State.
The Commissioner for Health Doctor Ibrahim Dangana gave the assurance at the commissioning of the Nikangbe Primary Health care Centre, named Elizabeth Shaba Maternal and child health clinic renovated by the Chairman of Chanchaga Local Government area, Aminu Yakubu Ladan.
Doctor Dangana noted that governor Umar Mahammad Bago is determined to improve health care facilities in rural areas and the state at large by creating new health care centres and renovating dilapidated ones.
The Commissioner charged the community to own and take advantage of the health care centre, while government provide health personal for quality services.
Also speaking, the Chairman of Chanchaga local government, Aminu Yakubu Ladan noted that the renovation of the clinic was timely, as it will help reduce death rate in child birth, calling on government and relevant stake-holders to continue to partner with the local government on health care development.
Highlights of the event was presentation of equipment, and issuing of the building keys to the community leaders.
