Niger State Government has appreciated the position of Organized Labour on certain contentious matters and assures the public, particularly Civil Servants and the Organized Labour of its readiness to dialogue and amicably address their demands.
A statement issued by Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Alhaji Abubakar Usman explained that the present administration had enjoyed cordial relationship with the Organized Labour.
The statement further explained that in furtherance of this understanding, the Government of Niger State invited Organized Labour to a meeting and it is hoping to receive its cooperation in this regard.
The statement added that the present administration is committed to the principle of dialogue and social bargaining for the benefit of the State.
It could recalled that Civil servants in Niger State have declared an indefinite strike over the failure of the government to meet their demands.
