Niger State Pilgrims Welfare Board has announced N8.457,685. Million for the 2025 final Hajj Fare for the intending pilgrims in the State.
This is inline with recent pronouncement by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) pegging N8.457,685.59 as the final Hajj fare for the State.
This is contained in a statement signed by the Executive Secretary of the Board, Sheikh Muhammad Awwal Aliyu.
He noted that 30th of January, 2025 has been set for the closure of the payment in order to allow for timely remittance to National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON).
According to the Executive Secretary, the intending Pilgrims who have already paid the deposit of 8.4 million have to quickly pay the balance of 57,685.59 Naira only, and those who made a deposit of less than that should also pay the remaining balance.
He also disclosed that the 2025 Basic Traveling Allowance (BTA) for each Pilgrim has been set for $500 as announced by the NAHCON.
The Board promised to thoroughly evaluate the health status of every Pilgrim in order to determine the eligibility of the Pilgrim right from the local government level to the state level.
The Board would also provide detailed guidelines and support to assist intending pilgrims throughout the payment process and beyond, ensuring that every intending pilgrim who has completed its payment on or before the deadline to embark on the spiritual journey is well- informed.
