Eleven Miscreants of Kagarko Area of Tafa Local Government Area and Hayin-Diko Gurara area of Niger State who looted and burnt the Local Government The Secretariat of Tafa has been arrested by the state police command.
Confirming their arrest, the commands Public Relations Officer Wasiu Abiodu said the hoodlums mobilized and stormed the area vandalized the Secretariat, partly set
ablaze two cars and two others vandalized.
He said they also looted valuables while the Police and other security agencies responded to the scene, and arrested eleven of them with different dangerous weapons, including firearms and some of the looted items were recovered.
Public Relations Officer, Abiodun called on the general public, parents, and residents to caution their wards as the Police Command reemphasized that demonstrations,
destruction of public assets and looting will not be tolerated and any act of lawlessness will be strictly dealt with in accordance with the law.
He said investigation into the violent act has commenced with a view to arrest other fleeing miscreants.
