The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) has extended its heartfelt commiserations to Prestige FM Radio following the recent damage of its aerial mast by wind storm that disrupts the operations of the station for a few days.
A member of the National Governing Council of the Institute, Mr. Akin Agbejule who delivered the message of the President and Chairman of the Governing Council, Dr. Ike Neliaku, expressed the Institute’s concern over the incident.
“This incident has grounded communication entirely in Niger State, but we praise God that the station is now back to life.”
Mr. Agbejule encouraged the Management of the station to remain strongly committed to the course of communication, upholding professionalism as a hallmark in the discharge of their duties.
He assured them of NIPR’s recognition and support as a stakeholder in the communication industry.
The Managing Director of Prestige FM Radio, Zubairu Abdulrauf Idris, appreciated the Institute’s concern and noted that the incident could have been a major setback but the partial preservation of sensitive equipment, the station was able to improvise and return to the air.
