The Nigerian Red Cross, Niger State branch, has conducted its election, resulting in the emergence of a new executive team.
The election, overseen by Dr. Adamu Babale from the Red Cross Headquarters in Abuja, included delegates from the 25 local government areas of Niger State. The event took place at the state head office, Eastern Bypass Maitumbi in Minna.
During the inauguration of the newly elected officers, the outgoing chairman, Alh. Hamisu Jankaro, urged the new executive to prioritize the interests of the Red Cross.
He highlighted the achievements of the outgoing executive, including securing office space and mobility for the state branch. He called on the incoming executive to build on these accomplishments for the growth and development of the Red Cross in Niger State.
Bar. Abdulrahaman Paiko administered the oath of office to the incoming executive, whose names and portfolios are as follows:
