The first Indigenous Radio station in Niger state, Prestige FM 91.7 Radio Minna has honoured with 2024 Best Radio Station Award from a Non Governmental Organization; Millennium Africa Global Initiative (MAGI)
The National Coordinator of Millennium Africa Global Initiative MAGI, Ambassador Marshall Okoro during the presentation in Minna, said the radio station had met the demand of the listeners in times of News coverage, investigative reporting, educative and enlightenment programmes, hence, its nomination for the award.
The Executive Director of the Prestige FM Minna, Malam Yusuf Ibrahim Ladan appreciate the NGO for the recognition.
Yusuf Ibrahim Ladan stated that the award will surely spur the station to do more, urging the staff to be more dedicated for more wins.
Meanwhile, the chairman Correspondents’ Chapel of NUJ Niger state who is a News Editor with Prestige FM and a Reporter with People’s Daily was bestowed with the Print Journalist Award of the year 2024.
Similarly, a popular radio voice in Prestige FM, Mustapha Nasiru Batsari was honoured with
Journalist of the year award and same award to Prestige FM for its Radio Programmes: Tselle Daya, and Investigative Journalist ward to Nurudeen Isyaku Daza among others.
