The Chairman, Shanga Local Government Area of Kebbi State, Hon. Abdullahi Abdullahi Mohammed, has donated Sallah clothes to 2,000 people and 200 bags of grains to his constituents.
Mohammed, who stated this while distributing the clothes at a ceremony held at Shanga, said the gesture covered both males and females members of the area.
He said the essence of the gesture was to assist people, especially the less privileged persons to enable them celebrate Sallah with joy and happiness.
The chairman added that apart from the clothes, he had also donated a transformer to Yar Besse village and reconnected the community with national grid.
Mohammed enjoined the beneficiaries to make judicious use of the gesture for their own good.
He lauded His Excellency, Comrade Dr Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu, who created an enabling environment for the council chairmen to serve their people better.
