A Civil Society organization In Niger State; the Vanguard for Equity and Justice (VFEJ) has applauded the transformational leadership of the Commandant General Nigeria Security and Defence Corp NSDC, CG Dr. Ahmed Abubakar Audi.
The Civil Society Organisation commended the Commander General’s commitment to providing a virile and quality leadership for the NSCDC within the period of assumption of office, as the 3rd Substantive Commandant of the corps.
Addressing Journalists in Minna, on Monday 20th 2024, tthe Chief executive officer and founder of VFEJ Alhaji Mijinyawa Baba Maude noted that the progress and achievements recorded under the current leadership of Dr. Ahmed Abubakar Audi could best be described as unprecedented stressing that
his leadership quality has tremendously changed the narrative.
Alhaji Mijinyawa Baba, further acknowledged that Dr Ahmed Audi brought the corps to its point of attainment, stressing the need to appraise his efforts, in order to spur him to do more.
“The encomium and support for the current administration of the Corps with reference to its notable onslaught and the fight against economic saboteurs ravaging the oil sector and degrading the economy of the nation and its commonwealth is on record .” he noted.
“In clear terms, the trend in which the NSCDC had risen from obscurity to become one of the most enviable security outfits under Audi’s leadership is rather worth applauding than condemning”.
“We have closely watched with kin observation the trajectory of successes and achievements of the NSCDC in the past years; the NSCDC whose establishment Act 2003 of the National Assembly empowers it to provide 24 hour surveillance for public and private property, Maintain law and order was amended in 2007 where the functions of the Corps further strengthens it to bear arms and safeguard all Critical National Assets and Infrastructures”.

A public commentator on national issues, Alhaji Maude noted that Dr. Ahmed Audi’s extraordinary transformation improved Staff welfare where backlog of Promotions and corresponding arrears of such were settled, the review of Staff Insurance Scheme which provides reliefs to the Next of Kin of Personnel who dies in the line of duty.
He also ensured Training and Retraining of officers and men to combat, arrests and prosecute thousands of suspects who allegedly engaged in Crude oil theft and vandalism of oil pipelines in Rivers, Akwa Ibom, Imo, Cross River, Bayelsa and other States of the federation.
The arrests of Railway vandals, foiling of over 48 kidnap attempts of School Students and Teachers are very distinguishing and results oriented efforts of Dr. Àhmed Abubakar Audi.
Highlighting notable achievements recorded under the leadership of the CG Ahmed Audi Alhaji Baba Maude within the year of the CG’s assumption of office said CG created Civil Defence Academy in Jos and NSCDC Arms Squad, Training School at Ugede Development Area, Nassarawa LGA of Nasarawa State.
Creation of NSCDC Female Squad to aid in tackling kidnapping and other restiveness in schools nationwide and NSCDC Special Mines Marshal to combat the menace of illegal mining in the country’s mining sector.
