Wife of Niger State Governor, Hajiya Fatima Mohammed Bago has called for more support and increased awareness of the Adolescent Girls Initiative For Learning and Empowerment (AGILE) Project.
This was contained in a statement signed by her Chief Press Secretary, Hadiza Abdullahi Maikano during an advocacy visit on AGILE to the Palace of His Royal Highness Dr Yahaya Abubakar, CFR the Etsu Nupe and Chairman Council of Traditional rulers Niger State on Saturday 18 May, 2024.
Hajiya Fatima Bago noted that AGILE which is a World Bank assisted project will provide incentives to enhance quality education by increasing the enrolment and retention rates for Adolescent girls in schools.
She said the project is indeed a beacon of hope, that will strive to empower girls in Niger State and other States where it would be domesticated.
Hajiya Fatima Mohammed Bago therefore called on all to intensify efforts to ensure the success of this project.
According to her “We must all lend our voices in the struggle to ensure our adolescent girls receive quality education.”
She assured of her resolve to work with all stakeholders to ensure the success of the AGILE Project.
The First Lady was in company of the wife of the Speaker Niger State House of Assembly, Hajiya Hassana Abdulmalik Sarkin Daji and the Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, Dr Hadiza Asabe Mohammed and other aides.
